First Possession [Action/Voice]
[Action]
[Whoever told the new arrival, Greed, that everything is free must be feeling pretty guilty right now. He first tears through the clothing ship, donning his own clothes and carrying off everything else he thinks belongs in his wardrobe.
...And then he makes his way to the item shop. Dear god, the item shop. After locating some type of satchel, he begins snatching up every item and stuffing it in there. New Feathers' possessions. Some late arrivals for other citizens. Greed thinks he wants it too, and he's collecting it all in a manic rage, which is formed from combination of the thrill of being alive again, the sheer excitement of free stuff and the bitter disappointment that the store didn't have any of his own possessions. He's being pretty loud and obnoxious about it too - laughing loudly and intimidating others by flashing his Ultimate Shield. One could probably hear this ruckus from outside.
But don't let him take your items. Stand your ground, whoever you are, be you New Feathers or seasoned veterans. Point out your item that Greed has taken and do what you can to reclaim it. And there is a specific item in store for the first character from the world of the Avatar to notice this mess.]
[Voice]
[Later that day, after Greed has settled down...]
Heh. No such thing as "no such thing," I guess...
Listen up, everyone. The name's Greed. I guess you could say I'm new here. Some of you here may already know me, a lot of you will not. I have a pretty straightforward name, I know, but why act like I'm something I'm not? I'm just a guy who wants a lot of things.
I know I sound like some kind of selfish bastard, but if you think about it, wanting something doesn't necessarily make you bad. So what do you want, my new friends? Wealth? Glory? Sex? Power? Friendship? Eternal life? Let me know. I'll get real a kick out of what you guys think.

But you can't possibly use all this stuff - why would you want it?
[...and what do you have in your hand? That looks kind of familiar.]
[action]
[Having convinced himself, he turns his attention to the satchel, but some items begin to spill out. He quickly reaches out and grabs a few of the falling items in one hand, including the whistle.
Dammit!
[action]
[--what some of those things do.
Except that's the moment when he spills everything on the floor, and Katara recognizes that whistle.
She immediately moves closer.]
Hey, let me see that.
[action]
Why should I?
[action]
[action]
[action]
That's not a toy - that's an air bison whistle.
[She holds out her hand, as if to take it.]
The only one I've ever seen belongs to my friend.
[action]
An air bison whistle. Oh, that makes all the difference in the world. What would you want it for, anyway? It's not even yours.
[action]
Because my friend's here - that's the only way our things show up - but Appa isn't. And it would mean so much to him to have this.
[Hand's still out, bro.]
[action]
He holds it up to his face and examines it as if it's a diamond.]
They call me Greed the Avaricious, kid. I can't just... give back something that I've claimed. It'd be a real bad way to start off my rep here. And what if I want one of these bisons for my own?
[He says all this somewhat lightly. He's considering it.]
[action]
She does have the tact not to say this. And hearing the consideration in his voice, she continues to attempt to appeal to him.]
It doesn't work like that - the whistle doesn't give you the right to the air bison. Appa would come for the whistle because he knew who was calling him, because he knew it was Aang. Please, they've been together since they were kids - this is the longest they've been separated. I know it would mean the world to him to just have the reminder.
[Starting out sweet and reasonable is totally fair. This is the same girl who advised Hama to use her feminine wiles for free fruit. But there's nothing fake about her words - it's a genuine appeal, sincerity in every line of her body.
She just doesn't mean to stop if he says no.]
[action]
Hm. You did say "please". I guess I should honor your greed for your friend's happiness.
[He drops it into her hand, but in such a loose way to make it look like he accidentally dropped it.
Fine. I don't even want it anyway. It won't be so hard for me to find a better whistle. [He quickly reaches down into the satchel and pulls out a hunting whistle shaped like a duck, then examines it. I'll get myself a... air duck. Much more desirable.
[action]
Thank you.
[She slips the whistle into her pocket.]
This will mean a lot to him.
[And heck yeah, she's greedy for Aang's happiness. She can't give him much right now, might as well do what she can.]
[action]
You're not welcome. Just do whatever the hell you want with it, kid.
[action]
[Sorry, she's too excited to stay right now, in fact, she turns to go. But then she pauses and smiles over her shoulder.]
I'm Katara, by the way.
[action]
Yeah, yeah, nice to meet ya.
