[Whoever told the new arrival, Greed, that everything is free must be feeling pretty guilty right now. He first tears through the clothing ship, donning his own clothes and carrying off everything else he thinks belongs in his wardrobe.

...And then he makes his way to the item shop. Dear god, the item shop. After locating some type of satchel, he begins snatching up every item and stuffing it in there. New Feathers' possessions. Some late arrivals for other citizens. Greed thinks he wants it too, and he's collecting it all in a manic rage, which is formed from combination of the thrill of being alive again, the sheer excitement of free stuff and the bitter disappointment that the store didn't have any of his own possessions. He's being pretty loud and obnoxious about it too - laughing loudly and intimidating others by flashing his Ultimate Shield. One could probably hear this ruckus from outside.

But don't let him take your items. Stand your ground, whoever you are, be you New Feathers or seasoned veterans. Point out your item that Greed has taken and do what you can to reclaim it. And there is a specific item in store for the first character from the world of the Avatar to notice this mess.]

[Voice]

[Later that day, after Greed has settled down...]

Heh. No such thing as "no such thing," I guess...

Listen up, everyone. The name's Greed. I guess you could say I'm new here. Some of you here may already know me, a lot of you will not. I have a pretty straightforward name, I know, but why act like I'm something I'm not? I'm just a guy who wants a lot of things.

I know I sound like some kind of selfish bastard, but if you think about it, wanting something doesn't necessarily make you bad. So what do you want, my new friends? Wealth? Glory? Sex? Power? Friendship? Eternal life? Let me know. I'll get real a kick out of what you guys think.

It's my name-name. The reason and my background's complicated, but let's say that if you were able to cut out the greedy part of your soul and give it a physical form, it might turn out something like me.

Daring sounds interesting enough. Most of the time, that's the quality one needs to get what they want.

...that sounds like a pretty wacky backstory though. Not so sure how you can cut apart a soul and give it physical form, but....hey, whatever works, right?

Like I said, it's complicated. And calling what I came from a "soul" is probably a lot nicer name than he deserves. It only really matters what I am now.

Ah. So life is gray in your world. Very gray. That makes a little more sense. That makes it all the easier to live for yourself and for today.

You bet it. I've kinda been on both sides of the battle back home. Sure, the "bad" side is pretty damn rotten, but no one's as holy as they pretend to be. [Especially those guys involvedin Ishval]

You too, huh? I've taken out as many corrupt law makers as I have criminals worse than I could ever dream to be. Funny, how the nastiness is universal.

Oh, I hear you. You should have seen the government back home. Rife with corruption and feeding off of innocents. The president personally put a bunch of my friends to death. That was a real crappy day.

...That's more than a crappy day, but it's standard in my field. How did you avoid it?

I didn't, actually. I was captured, and they put an end to me too. But I came back eventually. As you can guess, I'm not exactly an average human.

So it seems. Fortunately, the people here aren't exactly the murderous type. You should be pretty safe from the entire death thing. And, if you aren't, it's only for a week.

I guess that's reassuring. As long as none of my family are here, I guess sudden murders aren't on the menu. And don't worry. I think I have a fresh charge on my "coming back to life" thing.

Sounds like you're adjusting just fine then. If you're prepared for mind numbing boredom, this place isn't so bad.

Yeah, I'd say the boredom is my main problem so far. But I'll see what I can do to solve it. I've found that bars can be helpful.

Fortunately, we have a few good ones around here, with some really good drinks.

'Rack up subordinates'? That's a funny way of saying that you want a few friends.

I'm still getting used to the word. Still a step up from just calling them "possessions".
