[Greed spends the night drinking at Good Spirits, trying to find some cure for his boredom. And halfway through the night, he once he has a good buzz going on, he flips open his journal and addresses it.]

I thought I was doing you a favor and doing something to make Ling happy. I didn't know I was just helping along with your plan. A plan I want nothing to do with.

They did? [He seems unphased, but he goes on with bitter sarcasm.] I'm glad you have so much faith in me. The trees told me that you have an amazing body.

I thought we were talking about everything the trees said. Because everything they said's gotta be true, right?

[She stares at him for a moment, looking away in shame after a moment.]

So, you don't have feelings for me?

[He shakes his head.]

I only see you the same way I did all of my old subordinates. Just a little more... tightly wound. [A pause as he considers something.] And even if I did, I wouldn't want to clash with what the prince wants.

[Bowing her head. The rumor about her was ridiculous. Winry's turned out to be a lie. And really, she started to like Greed as a friend, so why shouldn't she believe him?]

I'm so sorry. I... I should've just came to you and asked right away.

[That last thing confused her though.]

Why would you clash with what he wants?

Eh... don't sweat it. And... I'm not entirely convinced of how he feels, but he has a soft spot for you, no doubt. I wouldn't try something unless I knew for sure that he wasn't interested.

We've known each other for a long time, so we are close. But, I could never have feelings towards you. I'm sorry.

Again, don't sweat it. I'm not looking for anything that has "feelings" anyway. I just want pure, simple pleasure.

And, don't bother Ling about me either. He might get the wrong idea.
